JuJu and the Kind-Hearted Girl

JuJu and the Kind-Hearted Girl

JuJu was a ladybug. She lived amongst the dewy flowers and tall blades of grass in the big, beautiful, green fields. She was always busy fluttering around, collecting nectar and pollen or just soaking up the warm sunshine. However, there was something that made JuJu uneasy - kids. The mere thought of being around kids made her feel anxious, jumpy, and scared. You see, JuJu was raised in a friendly bug community where all the bugs were taught from a young age to stay away from kids. There were stories that kids would trap bugs and keep them as pets or even worse, squish them if they became too annoying. Not only that, but kids were also known to pull wings off poor ladybugs. From that day on, JuJu had always lived with a fear of kids. She tried her best to hide whenever she saw them coming her way, but it was only a matter of time before she was caught by a curious child. One sunny day, while JuJu was collecting nectar from a daisy, she suddenly heard footsteps approaching. She quickly looked up and saw a small girl wearing a pink dress and a big kid looming behind her. JuJu's heart raced, and she felt like she had been caught by a predator. The girl was staring straight at JuJu, and JuJu knew there was no escape. She tried to fly away, but her wings gave in, and she fell to the ground. "Hey, look at this bug," the little girl exclaimed, "She's so pretty, I want to keep it." JuJu was shivering with fear as the girl picked her up and walked away with her. The girl's name was Norma, and she was known for being a kind-hearted girl. She had noticed JuJu and thought she would be the perfect addition to her bug collection. When she reached home, she placed JuJu in a small jar, and JuJu thought her fate was sealed. Days passed, and to JuJu's surprise, Norma started taking good care of her. She made sure that she had fresh flowers to eat and gently cleaned her jar every day. JuJu slowly started to relax and feel comfortable around Norma. One day, while Norma was playing with her toys, a big kid named Lincoln came over. Lincoln was much bigger than Norma, and he came stomping into the room like a giant. As soon as JuJu saw Lincoln, she felt her heart skip a beat. She tried to hide, but the glass jar was the only refuge she had. Lincoln noticed JuJu and started to poke the jar, trying to get a closer look. Just then, Norma walked in and saw what was happening. She went straight to Lincoln and scolded him for scaring JuJu. "This bug is my friend, and she gets scared around big, loud kids like you," Norma said sternly. Lincoln felt a little ashamed and backed away, but not before making a promise to Norma that he would take better care of the bugs in his backyard and not harm them. Norma smiled and thanked Lincoln, and JuJu could feel her own fear dissipating. From that day on, whenever Norma had friends over, JuJu would come out of her jar and wave her wings. She wasn't afraid anymore because she knew that Norma had her back. And whenever a big kid like Lincoln would show up, Norma would protect JuJu's little world, and JuJu would be proud to be friends with the brave, kind-hearted girl who never let her down.
