Merida and her Mischievous Triplets
Deep in the heart of a lush green forest, there lived a beautiful princess named Merida. She was known for her stunning red hair, her incredible archery skills, and her fierce spirit. Merida was a bit different than the other Disney princesses. She didn't like to dress up in beautiful gowns or attend fancy balls. Instead, Merida would rather spend her time exploring the great wilderness around her castle.
Merida was not alone in her castle. She had three little triplet brothers: Hubert, Hamish, and Harris. Merida loved her brothers dearly, but sometimes she found them a bit pesky. They were full of energy, and they always wanted to play with her and be included in her adventures.
One day, Merida decided to explore a new part of the forest that she had never visited before. She packed her bow and arrows, put on her boots, and set off into the unknown. Her brothers, of course, begged to come with her. Merida hesitated. She wasn't sure if they could handle the adventure, but she didn't want to disappoint them. So, she relented and let her brothers come along.
As they entered the woods, Merida led the way, and her brothers followed closely behind her. They wove in and out of the towering trees, jumping and laughing as they went. But as the day wore on, Merida realized that her brothers were lagging behind. She turned around to check on them and saw that they were all huddled up together, looking sad.
"What's wrong, guys?" Merida asked, concerned.
"We're tired, Merida," Hamish said, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "We can't keep up with you."
Merida felt terrible. She had been so caught up in her own adventure that she had forgotten about her brothers. She knew she had to do something to lift their spirits. Suddenly, she had an idea.
"Hey, guys. How about we play a little game?" Merida said, grinning mischievously.
Her brothers perked up immediately, eager to play. Merida led them to a nearby field and explained the rules: they had to run as fast as they could to a tree on the other side of the field, touch it, and run back. The first one back to the starting point would be the winner.
The triplets loved the game, but they soon realized that Merida was much faster than they were. Every time they played, she won easily. But Merida didn't care about winning. She just wanted her brothers to have fun and feel included.
One day, as they were playing, Merida started to feel a bit tired. She had been running around with her brothers all day, and her energy was starting to wane. Just as she was about to call it quits, she felt a small hand slip into hers. It was Harris.
"Come on, Merida. Let's run together," he said, smiling up at her.
Merida felt a warm feeling spread through her chest. She realized that she had been so focused on her own abilities that she had forgotten how much fun it was to let others participate with her when she played.
From then on, Merida made sure to include her brothers in all of her adventures. They explored the forest together, practiced archery, and played all kinds of games. Merida realized that having her brothers by her side made everything more fun and exciting.
The moral of the story is that it's important to remember that we're all different, and that's okay. Sometimes, it can be easy to get caught up in our own abilities, but it's important to let others play too. When we include others, we can have even more fun and create wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.
