The Real Tooth Fairy and the Sweet-Toothed King
One bright and sunny day, Tommy was walking with his little sister Sally down the road when they stumbled upon a strange, old-looking book lying on the ground.
“Look, Sally,” exclaimed Tommy, as he picked up the book, “this looks like an old fairy tale book.”
Sally’s eyes twinkled with excitement as Tommy opened the book and started to read the first page.
“On a faraway island, there lived a king who was known for his love of sweets. Every day, he would eat piles and piles of candy, cakes, and pastries, and he never once brushed his teeth.”
Tommy chuckled and turned to Sally, “Uh oh, that’s not good dental hygiene, is it?”
Sally shook her head vigorously, “No, it’s important to brush your teeth after eating sweet things, otherwise they’ll get all yucky and icky.”
Tommy nodded, “Exactly, and the king in the story should have known better.”
They continued to read the story, and soon enough, they were laughing at all the funny situations that the king got himself into because of his terrible sweet tooth.
But just as they were about to turn the page, a gust of wind blew and the book snapped shut, trapping their fingers inside!
“Oh no!” cried Sally, wincing in pain.
Tommy tried to pry the book open, but it was no use. They were stuck!
Just then, a small, furry creature appeared out of nowhere.
“Hello, little humans,” the creature said in a deep, rumbling voice, “I am the Tooth Fairy.”
Tommy and Sally looked at each other in surprise. They had always thought the Tooth Fairy was supposed to be a pretty little fairy with wings.
“You don’t look like the Tooth Fairy,” Sally said, her eyes narrowed in suspicion.
The Tooth Fairy chuckled, “That’s because I’m the REAL Tooth Fairy. The one with wings and a pretty dress is just a myth.”
Tommy and Sally were amazed. They had never heard of a Tooth Fairy like this before.
“But why are you here?” asked Tommy.
The Tooth Fairy smiled, “You two seem to know a lot about dental hygiene, and that makes me very happy. As a reward, I will help you get your fingers out of the book.”
And with a wave of his wand, the book opened, and Tommy and Sally were free!
“Thank you, Tooth Fairy,” they exclaimed in unison.
As they walked away from the strange creature, Tommy turned to Sally and said, “You know, Sally, I think the moral of the story is that we should always take care of our teeth and brush them after eating sweet things.”
Sally nodded in agreement, “And not everything is what it seems. The Tooth Fairy can be a furry creature with a wand!”
Tommy and Sally walked off, hand in hand, chatting and laughing about their exciting adventure.
And as they turned the corner, they saw a beautiful rainbow stretching across the sky.
“Look, Tommy, it’s a rainbow,” Sally said, her eyes shining with wonder.
Tommy smiled, “Yes, Sally, it’s a sign of good luck and happy times ahead.”
And with that, they skipped off into the colorful sunset, ready to face whatever life had in store for them, with smiles on their faces and a newfound appreciation for dental hygiene.
