Hanna's Little Kitten and the Brave Mouse

Hanna's Little Kitten and the Brave Mouse

Hanna had always been a very curious little cat. She spent her days exploring every nook and cranny of her home, jumping up onto shelves and poking her nose into every corner.

One day, her mother called her over and said, "Hanna, my dear, I have very exciting news. You are going to have a little kitty all of your own."

Hanna's eyes widened in amazement. "A kitten? For me?" she exclaimed.

"Yes, my sweet. You will have a little friend to play with and look after. But always remember to listen to your mother, she is never wrong," Hanna's mother said.

Hanna could hardly contain herself with excitement. She spent the next few days preparing for her new arrival. She found a cozy little bed and made it nice and soft with blankets and pillows. She even found a tiny mouse toy for her new kitten to play with.

Finally, the day arrived when Hanna's new kitten was due to arrive. Hanna was waiting patiently when she heard a scratching noise at the door. She bounded over to the door and saw a little mouse peeking out from behind it.

"Hello there, little mouse," Hanna said. "What are you doing?"

"I heard you were expecting a new arrival, and I wanted to come and say hello," the mouse said.

Hanna was a little surprised. She had never met a mouse who wanted to be friendly with a cat before. But she decided to be polite and said, "Well, that's very kind of you. Come on in and meet my new kitten."

The mouse scurried into the room, and Hanna introduced her to her new bed and toys. The mouse seemed fascinated, and before long, the two were playing together happily.

Just then, there was a loud bark from outside. It was the neighbor's dog, who had come to visit.

Hanna's mother had always told her to be careful around dogs, but Hanna wasn't scared. She had a little mouse to protect her, after all.

But as the dog came bounding into the room, something unexpected happened. The little mouse suddenly leaped out from behind the bed and chased the dog right out the door!

Hanna couldn't believe her eyes. She had always assumed that dogs were bigger and stronger than mice, but this little mouse had proven her wrong.

From that day on, Hanna realized that you should never judge a creature by its size. The little mouse had taught her a valuable lesson, and she was grateful for the unexpected twist in her story.

And as for her new kitten? Well, she arrived a few days later, and she and Hanna became the best of friends. But whenever they needed protection, they knew that their brave little mouse friend was always there to help.
