Iffy the Little Dragon: The Bravest Superhero!
Iffy was a little dragon who dreamed of being a superhero. He was always fascinated by the stories of brave heroes who saved the day. So one day, he decided he was going to be a hero too.
He tried to fly faster, breathe fire hotter, and be stronger than any dragon has ever been. But no matter how hard he tried, he never felt like he was good enough to be a hero.
One day, Iffy met a wise old panda bear named Crothe. Crothe was known all over the land for his wisdom, kindness, and love for everyone. Iffy was excited to tell Crothe about his dream of being a hero.
“I want to be a superhero! But I don’t know how to do it,” Iffy said.
Crothe smiled and put his paw on Iffy’s shoulder. “You can do anything through Christ who gives you strength,” Crothe said.
Iffy was confused. “What does that mean?” he asked.
Crothe explained to Iffy that with his faith in Christ, he could do anything he wanted, even become a superhero. Iffy was amazed. He had never thought of this before.
So, Iffy started practicing harder than ever before. He ran faster, flew higher, and breathed fire hotter. He even started helping other animals in need, just like a superhero would.
One day, while flying in the sky, Iffy heard a strange noise. He looked down and saw a little bird named Sorrian, who was trapped in a bush. Sorrian was calling out for help.
Iffy knew that he was Sorrian’s only hope. He swooped down and blew a hot flame at the bush, and Sorrian was free. Sorrian was amazed by Iffy’s bravery and asked him, “Are you a superhero?”
Iffy smiled and said, “Yes, I am!”
But then, something unexpected happened. Sorrian started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Iffy asked.
Sorrian replied, “I thought superheroes were supposed to wear capes and masks. You’re just a little dragon!”
Iffy felt a little silly. He had never thought about how a superhero was supposed to look. But then he realized that it didn’t matter. He was a hero because he did the right thing and saved Sorrian.
From that day onwards, Iffy was proud to call himself a superhero, even if he didn’t look like one. He knew that the true meaning of being a hero was doing what was right, no matter what anyone thought.
Moral of the story: You don’t have to be “perfect” or “look” the part to be a hero. What matters is your heart, your bravery, and your willingness to do what’s right.
