Mila, the Brave and Different Little Mermaid
Once upon a time, in a very deep and mysterious sea, lived a little mermaid called Mila. It was not like any other mermaid, because it had bright and shiny purple scales, a big head full of curly blue hair, and its tail was so heavy that it could barely swim.
Mila couldn't help but compare herself to other mermaids, which had smoother scales, straight hair and tails that didn't weigh them down. She felt out of place, and thought that she didn't belong in the sea.
One day, Mila saw a group of mermaids playing a game called "who can swim the fastest". Feeling embarrassed, Mila didn't join the game, and instead watched from afar. But then, a giant octopus appeared, and started chasing the mermaids!
Mila knew that she had to do something. She swam towards the octopus and, with all her might, hit it with her heavy tail. To everyone's surprise, the octopus flew away! Mila had saved the day!
The other mermaids stopped playing and started to stare at Mila, who was now very proud of herself. She looked at them and said: "I may not have the biggest, and best tail like you, and my scales may not shine in the same way as yours, but I still managed to save you all from the octopus".
The mermaids felt ashamed for judging Mila and looked at her differently from that day forward. They now knew that being different was actually cool.
From that day on, Mila felt a lot more confident and proud of who she was. She realized that being different made her special, and she didn't need to be anyone else but herself.
And so, the moral of the story is, that no matter what anyone else looks like, we should be proud of our own differences. Who knows, like Mila, they may even save the day.
