The Little Frog with the Big Croak: A Tale of True Friendship
Once upon a time, in a big green pond, there lived a little frog called Freddie. He was just an ordinary frog, quite plain-looking with a hoarse croak. But Freddie was ambitious, he wanted to become the most popular frog in the pond.
He would practice his croak day and night, trying to make it sound more beautiful and harmonious. Unfortunately, nothing worked, and his croak remained raspy and unpleasant to listen to.
One day, during his usual croaking practice, he overheard some other animals making fun of him, mocking his voice and teasing him relentlessly. Freddie felt defeated and embarrassed.
But Freddie didn't give up easily. He decided to visit a wise old owl, who was known for his wise advice to animals in need. Freddie hopped his way through the forest and finally reached the old owl's den.
"Good afternoon, Mr Owl," he said in a polite voice. "I have come to ask for your help."
"What kind of help do you need?" asked the wise owl curiously.
"I need to change the sound of my croak, I want it to be magnificent and lovely," said Freddie.
The old owl smiled and said, "Dear Freddie, never judge a frog by its croak. Your voice may not be the prettiest sound in the pond, but it does not define your worth. Just be who you are, and you will see that true friends will love you for who you are, not for the way you sound."
Freddie felt enlightened and grateful for the owl's wise advice.
On his way back, the little frog realized that the most important thing is not how you sound, but how you behave. He began to value himself despite his croak, and he realized that his true friends appreciated him just for being himself.
From that day, Freddie never tried to change his croak or be someone he isn't. He lived his life to the fullest, and his cheerful spirit attracted other animals to him.
In the end, Freddie was known as the friendliest and most genuine frog in the pond. All the other animals loved him for the kind and honest soul he was.
So, the moral of the story is, “Never judge a frog by its croak, as appearance and sounds can be deceiving.
