The Little Boy Who Finally Slept: A Funny Discovery
Once there was a little boy named Tim who just couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned in his bed, but no matter what he did, he just couldn't drift off into dreamland.
He tried counting sheep, but they just looked at him with their beady little eyes and made him even more anxious. He tried reading a book, but every word seemed to jump off the page and into his imagination, creating all sorts of scary scenarios.
Finally, Tim decided that he needed a glass of water. He got out of bed and tiptoed down the hallway, trying not to wake his parents. As he passed by the living room, he heard a strange noise.
He froze. Was it a monster? A burglar?
But then he heard it again, and it sounded like... laughter?
Tim edged closer to the door and peeked inside. And what did he see?
His parents, sitting on the couch, watching television and eating popcorn. They were laughing at a funny cartoon, and they didn't even notice Tim had entered the room.
Suddenly, Tim felt silly. He had been so afraid of something that turned out to be nothing at all. He realized that sometimes, things aren't as scary as they seem.
He went back to bed feeling a lot better, and before he knew it, he was fast asleep.
The next day, Tim's parents asked him why he looked so tired, and he told them the whole story. They laughed and hugged him, relieved that everything was alright.
And from that night on, Tim didn't have any trouble falling asleep. He knew that sometimes, things that seem scary are really just funny.
