The Whistling Rabbit Who Learned to Listen: Elrich's Adventure with the Magic Flower
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a little rabbit named Elrich. Elrich was quite unique, as he had a special talent that no other rabbit had - he loved to whistle! He would whistle while he hopped across the meadows, he would whistle while he ate his carrots, he would even whistle while he slept!
Elrich was a happy little rabbit, but he had one problem: he didn't like listening to his mommy and daddy. Whenever they told him to do something, he would ignore them and continue on his merry way. His parents would always warn him that he needed to listen to them, but Elrich was too stubborn to listen.
One day, while hopping through the meadow, Elrich heard a strange noise. It sounded like a whisper, and it was coming from behind a bush. Curious, Elrich hopped closer to investigate. As he peeked behind the bush, he saw two little mice named Timmy and Tom.
"Elrich, come quick!" whispered Timmy. "We found something amazing!"
Elrich, always up for an adventure, hopped over to see what the fuss was about. When he got there, he saw a beautiful flower - it was the most dazzling shade of purple he had ever seen!
"Oh wow!" exclaimed Elrich. "What kind of flower is that?"
"It's a magic flower!" said Tom. "If you make a wish and blow on it, your wish will come true!"
"Really?" asked Elrich, intrigued.
"Yes!" said Timmy. "Go ahead and make a wish!"
Elrich closed his eyes and thought hard about what he wanted to wish for. He wished to be the best whistler in the whole meadow. He took a deep breath and blew as hard as he could on the flower.
Suddenly, a strange feeling came over him. He felt his ears growing longer and longer, until they were almost as big as his whole body! He tried to whistle, but instead of a beautiful tune, all that came out was a loud, screechy noise!
"What's happening to me?!" cried Elrich.
"You wished to be the best whistler," said Timmy. "But you didn't specify how good!"
Elrich felt embarrassed and ashamed. He had let his stubbornness get the best of him. From that day on, he realized how important it was to listen to his parents. He practiced hard every day to get better at whistling, but he never forgot the lesson he had learned.
So, the moral of the story is: always listen to mommy and daddy. They know what's best for you! And never make a wish on a magic flower without being specific about what you really want.
