Nivaan's Big Game: A Lesson from Mom
Once upon a time in the bustling streets of India, there lived a young boy named Nivaan. From the day he was born, Nivaan loved soccer. He would watch as many games as he could and dreamt of one day becoming the best soccer player in all of India.
Every evening, Nivaan would practice his soccer skills in the park. He would dribble the ball around, pass it between his legs and shoot goals like a pro. Nivaan was dedicated to his sport and showed great promise.
One day, Nivaan’s school was holding a soccer tournament. Nivaan knew that this was his chance to showcase his soccer skills and so he signed up for the tournament. He trained harder than ever, ensuring that he was fit and ready for the big day.
On the day of the tournament, Nivaan arrived at the field early. He could see that the other teams were twice his size but he wasn’t afraid. He trusted in his skills and knew that he was going to win.
As the tournament started, Nivaan’s team played like champions. They ran down the field, scoring goal after goal. Nivaan was a true star, dribbling around the other team's players effortlessly, passing the ball back and forth and scoring goals with ease. The crowd was cheering him on and Nivaan felt unstoppable.
Just then, there was a funny twist in the story. Nivaan’s mother, who had been watching from the sidelines, started to call out to him. “Nivaan, come here," she yelled. But Nivaan was in the middle of a game and couldn’t be bothered.
Nivaan's mom tried calling again but this time he ignored her altogether. He was too focused on the game and didn’t want to be distracted.
But as the tournament went on, Nivaan's mom's calls got louder and more urgent. Eventually, Nivaan was so distracted that he missed a crucial goal, causing his team to lose the game.
Nivaan was devastated. All his hard work had gone to waste because he didn’t listen to his mom when she was calling him. It dawned on him that his mom probably had something important to tell him.
Nivaan went up to his mom and asked her what she wanted. She simply handed him a bottle of water and said, “I just wanted to remind you to stay hydrated during the game.”
Nivaan felt silly for not listening to his mom. He realized that his mom was looking out for him and had his best interests at heart. From that day on, Nivaan made a promise to always listen to his mom, no matter how important the game was.
Nivaan continued to play soccer and became the best soccer player in all of India. He even went on to play for his country and won numerous championships. But Nivaan never forgot the important lesson his mom had taught him – to always listen to his parents.
The moral of the story is that parents always have our best interests at heart and we should always listen to them. They are our guides and mentors, leading us along the path of life with their wisdom and love. Listen to them and you'll never go wrong.
