The Rainbow Connection

The Rainbow Connection

Ethan's father was an artist who traveled all over the world to paint beautiful pictures. Sometimes he would be gone for weeks at a time, and Ethan would miss him terribly. But whenever he missed his father too much, he would take out his crayons and draw a rainbow. Ethan knew that rainbows were magical and could reach all the way to the sky. He imagined that if he drew a big, colorful rainbow, it would stretch all the way to where his father was and he would be able to see it. It made him feel a little bit closer to his dad. One day, as Ethan was drawing his rainbow, a little bee named Honey buzzed over to him. Honey loved colors and she was very curious about Ethan's drawing. She asked him why he was drawing a rainbow, and Ethan explained that it was a way to reach his father when he missed him.
The Rainbow Connection
Honey thought that was a wonderful idea, and she asked Ethan if she could help him draw the rainbow. Together, they colored the rainbow with every color of the crayon box. When they were done, Ethan looked up at the sky and felt a warm feeling in his heart. He knew that wherever his father was, he would see the rainbow and know that Ethan was thinking of him. And even though they were far apart, they could still feel close to each other. Ethan learned that whenever he missed someone too much, he could always find a way to reach them, just like he did with his rainbow.
