The Brave Little Cat and the Lesson of Kindness

Thomas the little white cat with bright orange spots was so excited. It was his first day at school and he couldn't wait to learn new things. His teacher, Miss Kitty, was an old grey cat who was very wise.

The first lesson of the day was on mouse catching. Miss Kitty explained the best way to catch a mouse and the whole class practiced. Thomas was eager to show off his skills.

Later that day, when Thomas was at home, he saw a mouse in the kitchen. He tried to catch it just like Miss Kitty had taught him, but the mouse was too quick. Thomas chased the mouse all around the kitchen, but it kept getting away.

Finally, the mouse ran into a tiny hole in the wall. Thomas didn't want to give up, so he tried to squeeze into the hole after the mouse. But his head got stuck! His mother and father tried to pull him out, but he was really stuck.

Then, Miss Kitty arrived. She looked at Thomas and the hole and thought for a moment. Then she gently pulled on Thomas, and with a loud pop, his head came out of the hole. But his neck had been stretched!

Miss Kitty told Thomas that he was very brave for trying to catch the mouse, but that he should always be kind to others, even if they were little mice. Thomas realized that Miss Kitty was right. He should have been kind to the mouse, instead of trying to catch it.

From that day on, Thomas always remembered to be kind to everyone, even to little mice. And he never tried to catch one again. But he also never forgot the lesson he had learned at school that day.
