The Little Boy and the Starfish: Making a Difference

One sunny day, a little boy named Alex was walking along the beach. He loved looking for seashells and listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. As he walked, he noticed something strange. There were lots of starfish washed up on the sand. They were all squirming and trying to get back to the water.

Alex knew that starfish needed to be in the ocean to survive. So, he started picking them up one by one and tossing them back into the sea. He didn't stop to rest or play. He just kept on saving the starfish, one by one.

After a while, a man came up to him and said, "What are you doing, little boy? There are so many starfish on the beach. You can't possibly make a difference."

But Alex didn't listen. He just smiled and kept on throwing the starfish back into the water. Finally, the man asked, "Why are you doing this? You can't save them all."

Alex picked up another starfish, threw it back into the sea, and replied, "I made a difference to that one."

The man was surprised by Alex's determination. He realized that even small actions can make a big difference. He decided to help Alex save the starfish, and soon they were both tossing the little creatures back into the ocean.

As they worked, more people started to notice. They joined in and soon there was a whole group of people saving the starfish. Before long, all the starfish were back where they belonged.

Alex was so happy. He had shown everyone that even a little boy like him could make a big difference. From that day on, whenever Alex saw someone in need, he would remember the starfish and do whatever he could to help. And he knew that even the smallest actions could make the world a better place.
