After these trials, Psyche’s final attempt involved her becoming a divine being. She drank ambrosia, the nectar of the gods, and was granted immortality. Psyche and Cupid were reunited and reconciled. Their love was celebrated by the gods, and they were allowed to live together in the heavens, where Psyche was granted eternal life and became a goddess herself.
