Audrey's High-Flying Adventure: Kindness and Castles
Audrey loved to jump on her trampoline. She would bounce and bounce, feeling like she was flying through the air. One day, as she jumped very high, she saw something amazing above the tree line - a castle! She was so excited that she grabbed her backpack and asked her brothers to push her on the swing, hoping to fly over the fence and into the forest.
With a big push, Audrey soared through the air and landed in the forest. But as she landed, she found herself on a big spider web. As the spider approached, Audrey’s cat, Orbit, appeared and cut the spider web with its claws. Audrey and Orbit then continued their journey through the forest.
As they walked, they came to a clearing with a frozen river. They were about to skate across the pond when it suddenly became very cold, and they heard the howling of coyotes. But just then, they heard a loud barking that scared the coyotes away. It was their neighbor's dog, Julie! Audrey and Orbit were so relieved to have Julie with them as they made their way across the frozen river.
As they skated towards the castle, they saw a door with a guard in front of it. Audrey pulled out her little keyboard and played a relaxing song, putting the guard to sleep. She then took the guard’s keys and entered the castle. Inside, she found a dungeon and her friend Ziggy trapped inside. Using the keys, she freed Ziggy and learned that there was a mad orange king who had trapped her.

Audrey and Ziggy went to find the king and told him it wasn’t right to trap kids. The king said he would give up trapping kids and be a good person if Audrey could teach him how to read and write. Audrey agreed and began teaching the king.
After a few days, the king had learned to read and write. He kept his promise and released all the kids he had trapped. Audrey and Ziggy returned home to find their Mom, Dad, and brothers were so happy to see them. The king had become a kind and good ruler, and everyone in the kingdom was happy.
Audrey had learned that even in the most unexpected places, kindness and education can make a big difference. And she was glad to have helped the king become a better person.
