Safety First with Mikey and David
Mikey was a little boy, just three years old. He loved to play with his toys and run around with his cousin David, who was four years old. One day, Mikey and David were playing in the park. Mikey wanted to climb up the big slide, but his parents had told him it was too dangerous.
"Come on, Mikey! Let's climb up the slide," David said, but Mikey remembered what his parents had told him.
"I don't think we should," Mikey said, remembering to listen to his parents.
But David didn't listen. He climbed up the slide and got stuck at the top. Mikey didn't know what to do.
He ran to find his parents and told them what had happened. They came quickly and helped David get down safely.
"Thank you for telling us, Mikey," his parents said. "It's important to listen to us and stay safe."
Mikey was glad he had listened to his parents. He gave David a big hug and said, "I'm glad you're okay, David. We should always listen to our parents and stay safe."
From that day on, Mikey always remembered to listen to his parents. And whenever he played with David, they made sure to stay safe together.
