Alex and the Moonlit Squirrel Quest

**Alex and the Moonlight Rescue**

Alex loved looking at the moon before bedtime. But tonight, as they peered out of their bedroom window, something seemed… wrong. The moon wasn’t its usual big, glowing self. It looked small and dim, like a lightbulb about to go out.

Suddenly, *DING-DING!* The Magic Truck in the corner of Alex's room lit up. It was no ordinary toy truck. It could talk, fly, and go on amazing adventures. “Something’s wrong with the moon!” the Magic Truck beeped.

“Quick! Let’s help!” Alex said, hopping into the driver’s seat. With a WHOOSH and a WHIRR, the Magic Truck blasted off into the sky. Up, up, up they zoomed, past twinkling stars and floating clouds. Soon, they landed right on the moon!

Alex stepped out and gasped. The moon was covered in tiny holes where pieces of moonlight were missing! “Who could have done this?” Alex wondered.

“Over here!” squeaked a tiny voice. Alex followed the sound and found a family of furry, wide-eyed space squirrels. They were scurrying around, carrying glowing pieces of moonlight back to a shiny treehouse they had built. The treehouse sparkled like a Christmas tree.

“We didn’t mean to cause trouble,” said the smallest squirrel, her tail drooping. “We just wanted a cosy, bright home.”

Alex smiled kindly. “I understand, but the moon needs its light so everyone on Earth can see it at night. Let’s find another way to light your treehouse!”

Together, Alex, the Magic Truck, and the squirrels worked as a team. They gathered glittering star-dust and shiny comet stones to decorate the treehouse. When they were done, the squirrels’ home glowed even brighter than before—but this time, the moon was whole again.

“Thank you for helping us!” the squirrel family cheered.

Alex waved as the Magic Truck whooshed back to Earth. That night, the moon shone brightly in the sky, and Alex fell asleep dreaming of glowing treehouses and new friends among the stars.
