Little Mira and Her Glow-in-the-Dark Stars
Chanda Mama lived far away, up in the sky where the stars twinkle all night long. Every night, as the children on Earth looked up at the sky, they would sing a little song, "Chanda Mama door ke, hamko bhi taare chahiye. Chanda Mama door ke, hamko bhi taare chahiye, Chanda se laao, Chanda se laao."
One night, a little girl named Mira heard the song and looked up at the sky. She thought to herself, "I want some stars too. Chanda Mama, please give me some stars."
The next night, as Mira was looking up at the sky again, she saw a shooting star. She closed her eyes and made a wish, "I wish I had my own stars to play with."
The next morning, Mira woke up to a surprise. Her room was filled with tiny, sparkling stars! She was so excited and started playing with them, pretending they were little fairies dancing around her room.
But as the day went on, Mira realized that the stars were getting dimmer and dimmer. She was worried and didn't know what to do. Just then, her mother came into the room and saw the stars. She smiled and said, "Mira, these are glow-in-the-dark stars. They absorb light during the day and glow at night. That's why they were dim in the morning. But don't worry, they will shine bright again tonight."
Mira was relieved and couldn't wait for night to come. And just as her mother had said, the stars glowed bright and beautiful again that night. Mira was so happy, and she knew that even though Chanda Mama was far away, she could still have her own stars to play with.
From that day on, Mira would sing her little song, "Chanda Mama door ke, hamko bhi taare chahiye. Chanda Mama door ke, hamko bhi taare chahiye, Chanda se laao, Chanda se laao," and she would always have her own stars to keep her company.
