Rory's Reading Rock: A Tale of Friendship and Books

Rory's Reading Rock: A Tale of Friendship and Books

Rory the crocodile loved to read. He would spend his days in the sunshine with a book in his hand, but there was one problem - he couldn't hold the book above his nose. Every time he tried, the book would slip and fall into the water.

Rory felt sad because he couldn't read like his friends could. He told his friends, Rosie the rabbit and Timmy the turtle, about his problem. They wanted to help Rory, so they put their heads together to think of a solution.

Rosie had an idea. She found a big, flat rock and placed it in front of Rory. Then Timmy fetched some big leaves and placed them on top of the rock. Rory tried to put the book on the leaves, and it worked! The leaves made a nice, soft bed for the book, and Rory could read without it falling into the water.

Rory was so happy! He thanked his friends for their help and spent the whole day reading his favourite stories. From that day on, Rory had a special reading spot by the river where he could keep his books safe and dry.

The moral of the story is that it's okay to ask for help when you have a problem. Friends are always there to help you find a solution. And just like Rory, everyone has something they are good at, even if they need a little help to do it.
