Glow Getters: The Lantern Adventure

**The Missing Moonlight Lantern**

One warm summer evening, Nia the little bear wiggled her nose. Something felt different. She and her best friend, Mac the chipmunk, had just arrived at the clearing in the middle of their forest. It was their favorite spot to play under the glow of the magical Golden Acorn. But tonight, the clearing felt dim and shadowy.

“Mac,” Nia said, tilting her head, “something's missing!”

Mac squinted at the big oak tree in the middle of the clearing. “The moonlight lantern! It’s gone!” he squeaked.

The moonlight lantern always hung on a high branch, shining like a little star to help the Golden Acorn glow at night. Without it, the clearing looked lonely.

“Let’s find it!” Nia said. And off they went, paws and tiny feet pattering through the forest.

First, they came to the river, where Benny the beaver was stacking sticks. “Benny, did you see the moonlight lantern?” Nia asked.

Benny nodded. “A strong breeze blew it away,” he said. “I think it floated toward the tall pine trees!”

“Thanks, Benny!” Nia and Mac called as they hurried on.

At the pond, they found Tilly the turtle lounging on her favorite rock. “Tilly, have you seen the moonlight lantern?” Mac asked.

Tilly stretched her neck slowly. “I saw it twirling in the air. It landed in the tallest tree!”

“Come on!” Nia said, tugging Mac’s paw.

Finally, at the tallest tree, they spotted it—a tiny golden lantern dangling from the very top! Pip the squirrel was there, twitching his tail.

“I tried to grab it, but it’s too high,” Pip said.

Nia thought for a moment. “Let’s work together!”

With Pip climbing, Mac balancing, and Nia steadying them all, they finally reached the lantern. “Got it!” Pip cheered, holding it high.

They carried the moonlight lantern back to the clearing and hung it up where it belonged. The clearing glowed again, warm and bright.

“Thanks, everyone,” Nia said, smiling at her friends.

Mac nodded. “Together, we can do anything!”

And under the shining lantern, the friends danced and laughed, lighting up the forest with joy.
