Sam's First Day Fun

Sam sat on the soft seat in the big, bright classroom. It was his first day at school, and he felt a little shy. He saw a boy playing with a red and blue train.

"Hi! I’m Sam," he said.

"I’m Tim," said the boy. "Do you want to play?"

Sam smiled and nodded. Together, they pushed the train on the track. "Choo choo!" said Tim. "Puff puff!" said Sam. They giggled.

Soon, a girl with a pink dress joined them. "I’m Pip," she said. "Can I play too?"

"Yes!" said Sam and Tim.

Pip picked up a toy cat and made it sit on the train. "The cat is going on a trip!" she said.

Sam, Tim, and Pip played and laughed. At snack time, they sat together and ate apples. Sam felt happy. He had new friends!

At the end of the day, Sam saw his mum at the gate. "Did you have fun?" she asked.

"Yes!" said Sam. "I played with Tim and Pip. School is super!"

His mum smiled. "I’m so proud of you, Sam!"

Sam held her hand and grinned. He couldn't wait to come back tomorrow.
