Rainy Day Zoo Keepers: Zuzu and Olivia's Adventure

**Zuzu and Olivia’s Rainy Day Zoo Surprise** Pitter-patter, pitter-patter! Rain was falling as Zuzu and Olivia pulled on their shiny boots and colorful raincoats. “Let’s go to the zoo!” said Zuzu. “The animals will need us today!” said Olivia. At the zoo, big raindrops splashed everywhere. Zuzu and Olivia stomped in puddles. SPLASH! SPLISH! Then they saw the elephants. “Look, they’re playing too!” said Zuzu. The elephants stomped their big feet—SPLASH, SPLISH, SPLOOSH! Next, they ran to the otters. The otters slid and giggled on the wet rocks. “Wheee!” laughed Olivia. “Wheee!” said Zuzu, pretending to slide too. The flamingos were standing on one leg, looking a little soggy. “They need umbrellas!” said Olivia. She held up her arms. “Don’t worry, flamingos! I’ll keep you dry!”

Then they visited the pigs. “Oink, oink!” said Zuzu. “Pigs love mud!” Olivia scooped up some squishy mud and made a pretend mud pie. “Here you go, piggies!” The rain stopped. “Look!” said Olivia. A big rainbow stretched over the zoo. “Wow!” said Zuzu. “It’s so pretty!” The cousins twirled under the rainbow, laughing. “We’re the best rainy-day zookeepers ever!” said Olivia. Zuzu nodded. “The animals had so much fun… and so did we!” Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, they skipped home through the puddles.
