Rainy Day Magic: Zuzu and Olivia’s Puddle Adventures

Zuzu looked out the window. **Pitter-patter, pitter-patter!** The rain was falling, and the world was wet and shiny. “Olivia! Let’s go puddle-jumping!” said Zuzu, her curly hair bouncing with excitement. Olivia smiled shyly. “Okay, but only if we wear our rain boots!” Zuzu found her bright yellow boots. Olivia put on her shiny red ones. They each grabbed their umbrellas—Zuzu’s was blue with stars, and Olivia’s was pink with polka dots. Outside, the rain danced on their umbrellas. **Splish, splash!** Zuzu jumped into the first puddle. “Look, Olivia! It’s a tiny river!” Olivia giggled and splashed too. “Now it’s a big, bubbly lake!” The girls found a huge puddle, hidden behind a tree. It sparkled like magic. Zuzu’s eyes grew wide. “Let’s jump together!”

**Jump, jump, SPLOOSH!** The puddle shimmered. “Whoa! Now it’s an ocean!” Zuzu said, pretending to swim. Olivia laughed, spinning her umbrella. “I see dolphins!” They kept jumping and imagining—boats floated on the water, fish splashed by, and a rainbow even sparkled in the sky. When they got tired, they sat on the porch, dripping and happy. “That was the best rainy day ever,” said Zuzu. Olivia nodded. “Let’s do it again next time it rains!” And they did. **Splash, splash!**
