The Great Cake Festival
In the bustling village of Crumbleton, a most extraordinary event was about to unfold. The villagers were preparing for the Great Cake Festival, and in the heart of the bustling market square stood the biggest cake anyone had ever seen!
This cake was taller than Mr Bumble the baker and wider than Granny Tilly's arms could reach. It was covered in swirls of creamy icing and topped with bright, juicy strawberries that sparkled in the sun.
All the villagers gathered around, oohing and aahing at the sight. Little Rosie and her friend Sam were especially excited. They had heard that the cake was so big, you could actually walk around it ten times before getting tired!
However, there was a small problem. The cake was so enormous that nobody knew how to cut it! Even Mr Bumble, who had baked it with lots of love and care, scratched his head in wonder.
Rosie had a clever idea. "What if we used a ribbon to measure the cake?" she suggested, her eyes twinkling.
Sam nodded eagerly. "And then we can mark it with a little flag for each slice!"
Mr Bumble thought this was splendid. "Let's give it a try!" he said, handing them a colourful ribbon.
Rosie and Sam carefully wrapped the ribbon around the cake, while the villagers watched with bated breath. When they finished, they marked the ribbon with small flags and handed it back to Mr Bumble.
With a big, friendly grin, Mr Bumble used the ribbon as a guide. He sliced the cake into perfect pieces, each just right for the villagers to enjoy.
Everyone clapped and cheered for Rosie and Sam, the clever problem-solvers of Crumbleton. As they all enjoyed their cake, Rosie and Sam felt proud, knowing they had helped make the festival a sweet success. And of course, the cake tasted simply wonderful!
