Bertie's Jelly Adventure

Bertie the Bus wasn't like other buses. Oh no! Bertie was magic! He wasn't shiny red or bright blue. Bertie was a patchwork of colours - purple spots, yellow stripes, and even a little green cloud painted on his side.

Every morning, Bertie waited patiently at the bus stop near Poppy's house. Poppy was four and loved wearing stripy socks. One sunny morning, she hopped aboard, clutching her teddy, Mr Snuggles.

"Morning, Bertie!" she chirped.

Bertie's engine *whirred* a happy hello.

"Where to today, Poppy?" asked Mrs. Bumble, the kind, round bus driver with a smile as bright as Bertie's yellow stripes.

"The park, please!" said Poppy. "I want to play on the swings!"

Mrs. Bumble winked. "Hold on tight then!"

Suddenly, Bertie *rumbled* and *shook*. The seats turned into fluffy pink clouds! The windows showed not the road, but a swirling sky full of lollipops!

"Wow!" gasped Poppy, holding Mr. Snuggles tight.

But then, oh dear! A giant, wobbly jelly blocked the way! It was bright green and looked very sticky.

"Oh no!" cried Poppy. "We can't get to the park!"

Mrs. Bumble tapped her chin. "Hmm, a jelly blockade! Bertie, any ideas?"

Bertie *beeped* thoughtfully. Then, the green cloud on his side started to puff out, bigger and bigger! It floated right out of the window and tickled the jelly. The jelly giggled and wobbled so much it bounced away!

"Hooray!" cheered Poppy.

The fluffy cloud seats turned back into regular bus seats, and the lollipop sky changed back to the road. Bertie drove smoothly to the park.

"Thank you, Bertie!" said Poppy, giving him a pat. "You're the best magic bus ever!"

Bertie *beeped* happily. He loved helping Poppy have adventures. And he couldn't wait to see where they would go tomorrow!
