Lily's Colourful Surprise
Lily found a big, bright colouring book in the attic. It looked very old, but all the pictures inside were plain black and white. "Wow!" she said.
She chose a picture of a teddy bear. She had a teddy bear already, called Barnaby, but he was sitting sadly on her bed. Lily picked up a red crayon and coloured the teddy bear's nose. Suddenly, the red nose popped right off the page! It landed with a soft *thump* on the floor.
Lily giggled. She coloured the teddy bear's tummy blue, and *poof*, a blue tummy appeared! Barnaby the teddy bear on the bed watched with wide eyes. He was still just brown.
Lily forgot about Barnaby. She was having too much fun colouring. She gave the colouring book teddy bear green ears and yellow paws. Then, with a final *shimmer*, the colouring book teddy bear jumped off the page!
Barnaby looked very sad. He was still brown and boring. Lily noticed. "Oh, Barnaby!" she cried. "I'm so sorry!"
She quickly coloured Barnaby with every colour she could find. Pink arms, purple legs, and an orange head!
*Poof!* Barnaby jumped off the bed, now bright and colourful. "Hooray!" he shouted.
Lily and Barnaby, the colourful teddy bears, played happily ever after. Lily learned that even old toys can have colourful surprises.
