The Colourful Town

Once upon a time, in a town where everything was grey, lived a little boy named Tom. Tom loved colours, but all he saw were grey houses, grey streets, and grey skies. One day, he found an old, wooden paintbrush tucked away in his attic.

He took the brush outside and touched it to a grey wall. *Whoosh!* The wall turned bright blue! Tom gasped. This was no ordinary paintbrush! He painted the houses yellow, the streets red, and the sky a dazzling rainbow.

The townspeople were amazed! They had never seen so much colour. Tom painted flowers of every colour imaginable, and even painted spots on the grey dogs! Everyone was happy, except for Mrs. Higgins' cat, Whiskers, who didn't like being bright pink.

Tom kept painting, adding more and more colours. Soon, the town was too bright, too loud. It was overwhelming! Even Tom felt a bit dizzy. He realised that maybe everything didn't need to be painted.

He decided to paint a small, quiet garden, with just a few gentle colours. He invited all the townspeople to sit with him and enjoy the peace. They all agreed: sometimes, a little bit of colour is just perfect, especially when shared with friends. From that day on, Tom used his brush wisely, bringing joy to the town in a way that everyone could enjoy.
