The Magical Seedlings of Tommy’s Garden

Tommy loved spending time in his garden, especially after school when the sun painted everything golden. One rainy afternoon, while digging near the old oak tree, he found a tiny, sparkling seed unlike any he had seen before. Curious, he planted it in a small pot by his window and waited.

The next morning, to Tommy’s surprise, a tiny creature sprouted from the seed. It was no bigger than his thumb, glowing softly like a little lantern. “Hello!” it said in a tinkling voice. “I’m Sprig, the light bringer!”

Tommy smiled wide. Sprig fluttered around, lighting up dark corners of the room. That day, when Tommy’s little sister lost her favourite toy under the bed, Sprig’s gentle glow helped them find it quickly.

Encouraged by this magic, Tommy planted more seeds he found scattered around the garden. From one grew a creature with shimmering wings that painted rainbows across the sky. Another had soft, fluffy fur and could slow down time, making Tommy’s school mornings feel calm and easy. Each creature had a special gift that helped Tommy in small but wonderful ways.

One afternoon, Tommy’s friend Mia came over, worried about a school project. Tommy introduced her to the magical creatures. Together, they used the rainbow-painter to brighten their drawings and the time-slowing friend to practise without rushing. Mia’s smile grew big, and Tommy felt proud.

As the days passed, Tommy learned that these magical friends needed care too. He watered the plants, sang to them, and made sure they had plenty of sunshine. The creatures thrived, and so did Tommy’s confidence.

One evening, as the stars twinkled, Tommy planted a new seed with a hopeful heart. “Who will you be?” he whispered. The garden shimmered, promising more magic to come.

Tommy knew one thing for sure: his garden was full of surprises, and with a little care and a lot of imagination, every seed could grow into a wonderful friend.
