Friendship Beyond Faith

Mohammed was a 13-year-old Muslim boy who had just started at a new school. On his first day, he met Christian, a Catholic boy in his class. At first, Mohammed was a little nervous. He had never really interacted with someone of a different faith before, and he wasn't sure what to expect. But as they got to know each other, they realized they had a lot in common.

As they talked, Mohammed and Christian realized that they both had strong beliefs and practices that were important to them. Mohammed told Christian about how he prayed five times a day and fasted during Ramadan, while Christian shared with Mohammed about going to church every Sunday and taking part in the sacraments. They both loved playing soccer and video games, and they both enjoyed spending time with their friends. As they spent more time together, Mohammed and Christian learned to respect and appreciate each other's differences. One day, Mohammed invited Christian to come to the mosque with him. At first, Christian was a little unsure, but he was curious to see what it was like. When they arrived, Mohammed showed Christian how they prayed, and explained the significance of certain rituals and traditions. Christian was amazed by the beauty and peacefulness of the mosque, and he was grateful to Mohammed for inviting him.

In return, Christian invited Mohammed to come to church with him. Mohammed was a little hesitant, but he was open to experiencing something new. When they got to the church, Christian explained the different parts of the service and the meaning behind them. Mohammed found the experience to be quite interesting and was glad that he had the opportunity to see Christian's faith in action.

Through their friendship, Mohammed and Christian learned that it was possible to be different and still get along. They learned to accept each other for who they were, and to appreciate the diversity that existed in the world around them. They also discovered that by being open and tolerant, they could form a bond that was stronger than any differences they may have had.
