Angelo and the Talking Zoo
Angelo was very excited to go to the zoo with his parents. He couldn't wait to see all the animals and hear them make their funny noises. As soon as they arrived, Angelo ran from one exhibit to another, pointing and laughing at the animals.
But then, something strange happened. When Angelo got close to the monkey cage, he heard one of the monkeys saying, "I want to go home." Angelo couldn't believe his ears! He looked around to see if anyone else had heard, but no one seemed to notice.
He went to the lion exhibit next, and he heard the lion say, "I'm bored. I want to go play." Angelo was amazed. He could understand what the animals were saying! This was so exciting.
As they walked through the zoo, Angelo heard more and more animals talking about wanting to go home or play outside. He started to feel sorry for them. He wanted to help them escape and go back to where they wanted to be.
So, Angelo came up with a plan. He would open all the cages and let the animals out. But just as he was about to do it, his parents saw him and stopped him. They explained to Angelo that the animals needed to stay in the zoo where they were safe and could be taken care of.
Angelo felt sad, but his parents told him that the animals were well taken care of in the zoo and that they had everything they needed. Angelo understood and promised not to try and let the animals escape again.
As they left the zoo, Angelo smiled and waved goodbye to all the animals, feeling happy that they were safe and well taken care of. He realized that it was important to listen and understand, but also to make sure everyone, including the animals, were safe and happy where they were.
