Backyard Blossoms and Tea Party Troubles

Ahaana and Mira were in their backyard one sunny afternoon, getting ready for their special picnic. Ahaana, the big sister, loved planning things. “Let’s have a tea party!” she said, laying out sandwiches, shiny red apples, and colourful cupcakes on a blanket.

Mira, who loved adventures, brought her stuffed animals: Benny the bear, Dotty the dog, and Ellie the elephant. “I’m going to find hidden treasures to make the picnic magical!” Mira declared, running to the flower bushes with a bucket.

Everything was perfect until—WHOOSH! A strong gust of wind blew through the backyard. The picnic blanket, with all their snacks, fluttered up into the sky like a kite.

“Our tea party!” cried Ahaana. “Our treasures!” gasped Mira.

The blanket landed in a tree branch. The apples had rolled into a flower bed, and one of the cupcakes had toppled onto the grass, frosting-side down.

Ahaana frowned. “Our picnic is ruined!” “Wait!” said Mira, her eyes sparkling. “We can fix this if we work together!”

Ahaana nodded. “Okay! Let’s think.”

First, Mira grabbed her jump rope. “We can use this to reach the blanket,” she said. Ahaana held the rope steady while Mira tossed it up, looping it around the branch. With a gentle pull, the blanket floated back down.

“Got it!” cheered Ahaana.

Next, they collected the apples from the flower bed. “Be gentle,” Ahaana reminded Mira. “We don’t want to squish them.” Mira used her bucket to carry them back.

Finally, Ahaana dusted off the cupcakes, and Mira placed a daisy on top. “Now they’re even prettier!” she giggled.

Soon, their tea party was back on track. Benny, Dotty, and Ellie sat in a neat row, ready to join the fun.

As they sipped imaginary tea and nibbled cupcakes, Ahaana smiled. “I’m glad we didn’t give up.” “Me too,” said Mira. “Teamwork makes everything better!”

And their backyard picnic turned out to be the most magical adventure yet.
