Amelia and the Croissant-Capering Pigeon

**Amelia and the Parisian Pigeon Adventure**

Amelia was five years old and feeling very brave. She sat on a soft blanket by the Seine River in Paris, munching on a buttery croissant. Her little sister Mira, only three, was busy giggling at a duck waddling nearby.

Suddenly, *whoosh!* A grey pigeon darted down and snatched Amelia's croissant right out of her hand! "Hey!" she shouted, jumping up. The cheeky pigeon flapped its wings and soared through the air, disappearing into the busy streets of Paris.

Amelia looked at Mira. "We have to get my croissant back!" Mira clapped her hands, excited for an adventure, and together they dashed after the pigeon.

The first place they stopped was a cosy café. A fluffy orange cat was lounging on a chair, lazily swishing its tail. "Have you seen a pigeon with my croissant?" asked Amelia.

The cat stretched and pointed with its paw. "Try the flower market!" it purred.

At the flower market, they spotted the pigeon perched on a lamppost, nibbling the croissant. But as they got closer, it flew off again! "Oh no!" sighed Amelia.

They followed it to Notre Dame, where they met a wise old dog with kind eyes. "Hello there," said the dog. "What brings you here?"

Amelia explained the pigeon problem. The dog nodded. "Sometimes pigeons get hungry too. Maybe you could share with it?"

Amelia thought for a moment. "Hmm… maybe you're right."

Just then, the pigeon landed nearby, its head tilted. Amelia tore the last piece of her croissant in half and held it out. "Here, let’s share."

The pigeon hopped over, took the piece gently, and cooed happily. Mira giggled and clapped.

From that day, Amelia and the pigeon became friends. And though her croissant was gone, Amelia felt proud. She’d learned that being kind—even to a cheeky pigeon—was the best adventure of all!
