Little Bear and the Falling Star

Ben, the little bear, lived in a big, green forest with his family. Every night, he loved to look up at the twinkling stars in the sky. One night, as Ben was staring at the stars, he noticed one star was shining brighter than all the others. "Wow, that star is so bright!" Ben thought.

Ben decided he wanted to see the bright star up close. “I’ll find that star!” he said to himself. Ben packed his backpack with a snack, a flashlight, and his favorite hat. He was ready for an adventure! He walked through the forest, past tall trees and over small streams. The night was quiet, and the stars were his only guide.

After a long walk, Ben reached a hill. He looked up and saw that the bright star was still shining high in the sky. Suddenly, the star began to fall from the sky! It slowly drifted down, like a soft, glowing feather. Ben gasped, "It's coming down!" The star landed in a soft bed of moss right in front of Ben. It was so bright and beautiful. Ben couldn't believe his eyes!

Ben reached out to touch the star. It felt warm, like a little sunbeam. "This star is magic!" Ben said, smiling. Ben picked up the star gently and held it in his hands. "What should I do with you, little star?" he wondered. The star sparkled and blinked. Then, a tiny voice whispered, "I need to return to the sky, Little Bear."

Ben thought for a moment. He wanted to keep the star, but he knew it belonged in the sky. "I’ll help you get back!" he said. Ben ran to the top of the hill, holding the star high in the air. The star began to float, slowly rising back into the sky. As the star flew back up, it shone even brighter. "Thank you, Little Bear!" the star called out, before disappearing into the sky.

Ben smiled and looked up at the sky. The star was back, shining as bright as ever. From that night on, Ben knew that sometimes, letting go of something beautiful makes the world even more magical.
