The Great Picnic Blanket Hunt

**Ahaana, Mira, and the Missing Picnic Blanket**

One sunny afternoon, Mummy, Ahaana, and Mira were busy packing a picnic basket. Ahaana, who was four and loved adventures, carefully placed sandwiches and apples inside, while two-year-old Mira giggled and hugged a bottle of orange juice.

“Don’t forget the picnic blanket!” Mummy reminded them.

Soon, they were at the park, heading towards their favourite old tree with its long, twisty branches. “It’s picnic time!” Ahaana cheered. But when Mummy opened the basket, something was missing.

“Oh no!” said Mummy. “The picnic blanket isn’t here!”

Ahaana frowned. “How can we have a picnic without our blanket?” she wondered aloud. Mira just clapped her hands, pointing to a butterfly.

“I’ll find it!” Ahaana said bravely. “Mira, you can help too!”

Mummy stayed by the tree while the two sisters retraced their steps.

“Let’s look carefully,” Ahaana said, scanning the ground. Mira toddled beside her, stopping to point at a shiny pebble. “Blanket?” Mira asked.

“No, Mira, that’s just a rock,” Ahaana giggled. They kept walking, passing a bench where Ahaana paused. “We stopped here earlier to tie my shoe!” she remembered. But the blanket wasn’t there.

Next, they went back to the swings. Mira twirled around, pointing to a bright yellow flower. “Blanket?”

“No, Mira, that’s a daisy,” Ahaana said with a smile.

Finally, they reached the car. “Look, Mira!” Ahaana exclaimed, spotting a corner of fabric poking out from under the seat. She tugged at it and out came their missing picnic blanket! “We found it!”

Back at the tree, Mummy spread the blanket, and the girls sat down to enjoy their sandwiches and juice.

“Well done, Ahaana and Mira,” Mummy said. “You’re a great team!”

Ahaana grinned. Mira clapped her hands. And as the breeze rustled the leaves, the three of them laughed, ate, and enjoyed the perfect picnic after all.
