Little Maya and the Friendly Shark Lesson

Little Maya loved going to the beach with her family. She loved feeling the sand between her toes and the waves tickling her feet. One day, as she was playing in the shallow water, she saw something big and grey in the distance. It was a shark!

Maya was curious, so she asked her mummy, "What's that in the water, mummy?"

Her mummy smiled and said, "That's a shark, Maya. Sharks live in the water, but they don't come near the shore where we play."

Maya watched the shark swim gracefully in the water, and she felt a little bit scared. But her mummy told her that sharks are just like big fish, and they don't want to play with people.

After a while, the shark swam away, and Maya felt happy to be in the water again. She splashed and played, feeling safe and happy.

As they went home, Maya's mummy hugged her and said, "Remember, Maya, it's important to be careful in the water and always listen to grown-ups. Sharks are amazing creatures, but we need to respect their home."

Maya nodded, feeling proud that she had learned something new. From then on, whenever she saw a shark in the water, she remembered what her mummy had told her and felt brave and smart.
