Periwinkle and Lydia: An Underwater Friendship Tale
Once upon a time, there was a little narwhal named Periwinkle who lived in the deep, blue waters of the Arctic sea. Periwinkle loved to explore, and she would often swim around the coral reefs, looking for new things to discover.
One day, while Periwinkle was swimming around, she met a new friend named Lydia Gray. Lydia was a scuba diver who loved to explore the underwater world just like Periwinkle did. They quickly became best friends and swam together every day, discovering all kinds of amazing creatures that lived under the surface of the sea.
Periwinkle and Lydia had so much fun together. They would swim through the kelp forests and play with the bubbles that came from Lydia's diving gear. They would chase after schools of fish and explore the underground caves that were filled with all kinds of treasures.
As they explored, Periwinkle noticed that Lydia always looked a little bit strange. Her eyes seemed to bulge out behind her goggles, and her nose was always scrunched up under her mask.
One day, as they were swimming around, Periwinkle finally asked Lydia why she always looked so funny. Lydia took off her mask and goggles, and Periwinkle gasped in surprise. Lydia's face looked just like a pufferfish! It was all bulgy and chubby, with little puckered lips and a wrinkly forehead.
Periwinkle was so shocked that she almost swam away, but then she realized that she didn't want to lose her new friend. Instead, she said, "Lydia, you look just like a pufferfish! That's so funny!"
Lydia laughed and said, "I know it's weird, but it helps me breathe underwater. Do you think it's ugly?"
Periwinkle thought for a moment and then said, "No, I don't think it's ugly at all. It's just different, like me and you. That's what makes us such good friends!"
From that moment on, Periwinkle and Lydia had an even stronger bond. They knew that their differences were what made them unique, and that it was always important to be open to making new friends and trying new things.
So if you ever find yourself exploring the deep blue sea, always remember to be like Periwinkle and Lydia, and enjoy all the new adventures that come your way!
