Rainbow Umbrella Magic

Underneath the grey sky of a rainy day, a girl named Lucy was walking through the wet streets. She held a broken umbrella tight in her hands, trying to find shelter from the raindrops that fell heavily from the sky. The poor umbrella had seen better days, and the rain was coming down so hard that it could barely keep her dry.

As she trudged on, her eyes caught sight of a strange little man in a brightly colored coat who seemed to be skipping along the sidewalk. He was twirling a pink umbrella in his hands, and he couldn't seem to stop chuckling to himself.

"Excuse me," said Lucy, "do you know where I could find some cover from this terrible downpour?"

"Cover?" He answered, his jolly voice almost like a song. "What a silly notion! Why, there's no need for cover on a day like this!"

"No need for cover?" Lucy repeated, confused.

"Why not?" The little man replied with a grin. "Just look up at the sky. The rain is just a downpouring of happy tears from the heavens!"

Lucy looked up, and her eyes widened at the magical sight in front of her. Instead of a stormy grey sky, she saw a bright, beautiful rainbow canopy stretched out over the city!

"Wow!" Lucy exclaimed, delighted. "That's incredible! It's so beautiful, but what about my umbrella?"

The little man's grin grew wider. "Your umbrella? You really don't need it anymore," he said as he took the broken umbrella from her hand and gave it a flick. Instantly, it transformed into a magnificent, rainbow-colored umbrella! Lucy's jaw dropped in astonishment, and she could feel her heart fill with joy.

"Thank you!" She cried out to the little man with gratitude in her heart.

The little man gave her a phrase so simple that it would stick with her for the rest of her life. "Remember, my child, that sometimes when it rains, it pours joy."

With a smile on her face, Lucy merrily skipped away with her newfound rainbow umbrella in hand. She realized that the rain could be a blessing in disguise, and every rainy day could bring a rainbow of surprises. She no longer saw rain as a problem, but as an opportunity for happiness.
