Lily Learns to Love Veggies!

Lily Learns to Love Veggies!

Lily had always been a picky eater. Her mom would make all sorts of delicious meals for her, but she would always pick out the vegetables and push them to the side of her plate. One day, Lily was feeling adventurous. She decided to try a little bit of broccoli. To her surprise, it wasn't too bad! Encouraged by this newfound bravery, Lily began to try other vegetables. She tried carrots, peas, and even spinach. Each time, she was pleased to find that they weren't as bad as she had imagined. But then, one day, Lily tried a brussels sprout. It was the first time she had ever seen one. It was small and green, and looked like a tiny cabbage. Lily took a bite and immediately regretted it. It tasted bitter and strange. She cringed and made a face. Just then, her little brother, who had been watching her with curiosity, burst out laughing! "What's so funny?" Lily asked, annoyed. "You're supposed to roast them, silly! They're not supposed to be eaten raw!" her brother exclaimed. Lily couldn't believe it. She had been eating vegetables wrong all this time! From that day on, Lily made sure to properly prepare any vegetables she tried. She discovered that they could be quite delicious when cooked just right. The moral of the story? Don't be afraid to try new things! And always seek advice from people who know more than you do. And who knows? You might just discover a new favorite food!
