Milo and the Little Puppy: How Imagination and Bravery Made a New Friend

Milo and the Little Puppy: How Imagination and Bravery Made a New Friend

Milo the bunny was scared. She was scared of the dark, and she was scared of monsters. Even the tiniest noise would make her jump and run under the covers. Her mom told her never to be afraid of what her imagination creates, but Milo couldn't let go of her fear.

One day, Milo's mom had to take care of some errands, so she left Milo alone in the house. Milo was excited to be alone, as she had always wanted to explore the house on her own. But as soon as the sun went down, she felt a shiver run down her spine. It was just her imagination, she told herself. But her heart continued to race, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.

Suddenly, she heard a noise. It sounded like something was scratching at the door. Milo's eyes widened, and her heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She tried to call her mom, but she was out of range and couldn't hear her. Then she remembered what her mom had told her. "Never be afraid of what your imagination creates," she whispered to herself. She took a deep breath, squared her shoulders, and slowly tiptoed towards the door.

She pushed it open, and there she saw the most adorable little puppy, wagging its tail and staring up at her with big eyes. Milo was so relieved that she almost laughed out loud. She picked up the puppy and hugged it tightly. "You're not a monster," she told it, "you're just a cute little puppy."

Milo and the little puppy played together all night long. They chased each other around the house, snuggled up and watched a movie, and even made themselves some popcorn. Milo couldn't believe how much fun she was having, and how brave she had been.

The next day, Milo's mom arrived home, and she was shocked to find the little puppy running around the house. Milo explained everything that had happened, and her mom smiled. "See, Milo? You trusted in yourself and believed things would be okay, and they were. And now you have a new friend to play with!"

Milo smiled and hugged the little puppy again. From that moment on, Milo was never afraid of the dark or of monsters. She knew that she could face anything, as long as she trusted in herself. And every time her imagination started to run wild, she would think of the little puppy, and feel safe and brave.
