Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Penny. Penny loved nothing more than sitting on the couch, cuddled up with her iPad, and watching videos all day long. She watched videos about princesses, animals, and even about how to bake cookies! Penny's best friend, Chloe, loved playing outside, but Penny couldn't be bothered to step outside. Her big sister, Yixin, loved to read books, but Penny thought they were boring. Penny only cared about her iPad and the videos it offered. One day, Penny's iPad didn't turn on. She tried everything, but the screen remained black. Her whole day was ruined; she had nothing to do! She couldn't watch her videos, and she wasn't interested in playing outside with Chloe or reading with her sister. As she sat on the couch in despair, suddenly, a voice spoke to her. "I am the iPad Fairy, and I have come to teach you a lesson." Penny looked around, surprised, and finally, she saw a tiny fairy who was glowing with a bright light. "Really?" she exclaimed in disbelief. The fairy nodded her head and said, "Yes, Penny, you need to learn that there is more to life than just watching videos on an iPad. You have friends who want to play with you, a sister who wants to read with you, and a whole world outside waiting to be explored." "But, iPad Fairy, what should I do now?" Penny asked. The fairy replied, "First, you need to spend some quality time with Chloe and Yixin. Go outside, play games, and have fun! After that, you can watch your videos as a reward. But remember, moderation is key. A little bit of everything is good for you." Penny thought about what the fairy had said and realized that it was good advice. She said goodbye to the iPad Fairy and ran outside to play with Chloe. They played hopscotch, hide-and-seek, and even made up their own dance! It was the most fun Penny had had in a while. Later when they got tired and returned inside, Penny watched her videos, but this time she didn't watch for hours on end. She watched a few videos and enjoyed them even more than before.
